A truly HiFi bookshelf loudspeaker

At audio3® Ltd our mission is to improve sound enjoyment in our lives. We start by studying biology and psychophysics to understand how we hear. Then we combine this information with outstanding engineering to produce exquisitely accurate sound reproduction instruments.

Amplifier-on-Top

Our Active HiFi system uses an active digital crossover housed in a small but powerful amplifier designed to sit perfectly on top of one speaker, giving the sound of separates with the simplicity of an all-in-one system–and it saves space.

Acoustic Isolation

Spikes and shelf-protectors designed for them (not shown) are provided for bookshelf placement to decouple the speaker from your room to improve low frequency performance.

Elegant Design

Subtle wood grain transitions.

Cables managed

Cables are bundled and exit neatly. They can be completely hidden from view at the front.

360 Design

No bulky connectors on the back makes the system visually beautiful from any angle providing more placement options.

Distinctive Controls

Choose our teardrop volume knob (shown) or our more conventional one. We include both, so you can choose.

Down-firing Port

The large bore circular port enhances bass by maximizing airflow while reducing distortion. The underside position makes for the most compact bookshelf compatible design.

Bottom connector

The bottom connector allows speaker cables to ‘disappear’ into the stand and allows the stand to swivel.

Stand Mount

A ‘Morse Taper’ holds the speaker securely near its centre of mass but enables swiveling for adjusting toe-in and toe-out.

AMT Tweeter

We use an air-motion tweeter which produces ribbon-like clarity without the harshness.

Blended Design

The stand uses and builds-on the design language of the system.

System Design

The system is designed to work as a beautifully integrated whole, with sonic and visual harmony.

The Story…

The journey started with one American’s fascination with British HiFi, which turned into curiosity about how we hear and a realization that sound and music is what connects us.
